Let me introduce myself

Hello!

I am Adriana the Carpenter, creator and founder of this brand.

Today I wanted to introduce myself, to tell you a little bit about myself, so that we can get to know each other better.

Many, many years ago, sometime between the Pleistocene and Paleolithic eras, I graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in Altea, a beautiful white village on the Mediterranean coast, and of course, that experience left a mark on me. I came from a village in Teruel where it's quite cold (some say they manufacture it there), and the change was rather radical. The way of life, the people I met, the landscape—everything is part of me now.

I specialized in Sculpture and Graphic Design, two disciplines that, at first glance, don't seem very complementary. Design allowed me to find my first jobs right away, while I've kept Sculpture tucked away in a corner for a long time.

My professional career has always been linked to design, but from a more technical perspective. I've spent many years in the footwear industry, where I started working with 3D tools, and that pigeonholed me into the technical side of product design.

Something inside me was asking to come out, creativity had to explode somehow, and after much trial and error, learning a thousand techniques, taking courses and experiments, I found my ally in 3D printing.

Now I work on my collections like sculptures, adapting the forms to later transform them into jewelry pieces. It's very satisfying to see that in the end, everything you learn and do over the years serves to make a dream a reality, and thus create La Carpintera.
